My stay at the Carlton Hotel Tralee
 
Bar seating very uncomfortable, also receptionists not very friendly. Bar staff nice and pleasant & rooms comfortable

Firstly may I thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay with us, and I must apologies that you were not entirely satisfied with your last stay with us. Obviously, your experience is not in keeping with the standard that, both we set, and you the customer expects from us at the Carlton Hotel Tralee. I am not sure if you are aware, but the hotel was recently taken over by the Carlton Hotel Group, and indeed they have seen the need to re-work the bar area. As I am sure you will agree it is a cold and soul-less area of the hotel, and as you mentioned it is not a comfortable place to settle back for a relaxing drink or two. Therefore we are currently investigating ways of ‘softening’ the area, and making it more inviting to our guests. On the other matter you have raised, I have forwarded your comments to Orla the Front Office Manager, as there is clearly a need for some constructive training to improve our customer care skills at reception. I do hope that this matter does not deter you from visiting Tralee again, and enjoying the facilities of the Carlton Hotel Tralee. Assuring you of my personal attention at all times. A weekend in Carlton Hotel Tralee
 
As we entered reception you are surrounded by a feeling of luxury. The decor and design throughout the hotel was top class... even the grand piano in the bar was a nice touch. Only downside was that there was no entertainment provided on the Friday or Saturday night. But overall friendly & helpful staff and good food.

Myself and my new husband loved every min of your stay in the Carlton the room was amazing and comfortable the food was perfect it made the start to our honeymoon perfect recommend to everyone

We stay in The Carlton, Tralee very regularly and we have always had a very pleasant time. Staff are extremely courteous, prompt, professional and friendly. Excellent Value also available at the moment! Well Done and I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Overall the stay was very good. Have recommended this hotel to my friends. We did not use the bar facilities but if I'm sure they were of a similar standard to the rest of the Hotel. Very clean, well ... maintained and decorated Hotel. All staff that we came in contact were excellent particularly the dining room staff. There was a German (I think) gentleman in charge in the dining room on our first evening and he was excellent. ---

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Tralee
 
My boyfriend and I stayed here on a number of occasions over the past couple of months and everytime we have had a great experience. The rooms are fantastic, pure luxury. The hotel itself is top quality. ... The bar is relaxing and comfortable. During one Stay we were placed in a room at the front of the hotel, the noise of the cars kept me awake so the second night I asked staff could we change and they were more than accommodating. We got a lovely room overlooking the courtyard-would recommend to anyone! ---

As we arrived in the hotel 31st May in the afternoon and walked through the reception with pleasant smiles from the staff we bumped and the reception hall so classic & relaxing. We really enjoyed our ... stay in Carlton hotel. We said next time if go to other county side we will choose again a Carlton hotel. The best and excellent in all aspects of service as to room, food is great luxurious/tasty, facilities are cool ambiance and relaxing and accomodation/courteous & helpful staff especially the receptionist and the place is just accessible in town center. ---

Excellent all round - no complaints at all!
 
I can only offer praise for this hotel, spotlessly clean, well kept, pleasing, helpful staff, and that was all of them regardless of department or duties. A short walk away from town, cinema and aquadome ... (free for residents) minutes away, hotel has a modern, contemporary style, very pleasant layout inside and out. We had a family room at an excellent price, included breakfast for the adults and we paid half price for the two children. Every other hotel in Tralee would only offer two rooms for a family of four. The restaurant offers a good four course meal with tea or coffee, there is also a good bar and children’s menu. The full breakfast is cooked to order with continental items as buffet style, but you have to ask for cold meats and cheeses if wanted. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Overall a professional hotel with efficient teams of staff combined with real hospitality. We look forward to our return Many thanks to all. ---

A great experience
 
We booked in for 2 nights in may whilst attending a holy communion of friends locally. We were more than pleasantly surprised with our experience, from our arrival reception we were greeted warmly and ... we found our room to be spotless and very spacious. We enjoyed one dinner and two breakfasts in the dining room and enjoyed a very high standard of food and service. We do not normally stay at chain hotels preferring the smaller hotel but our experience at the Tralee Carlton was definitely 4 star but felt very pesonal. Well done, we would be happy to recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Tralee. ---

My husband and I stayed at the Carlton Hotel Tralee, weekend of 21st of May. We found the Hotel to be one of the best we have stayed in. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean, spacious and ... airy. The food was great. The only glitch we had was there was no entertainment in the bar. Apart from that we really did enjoy our stay. We will be back and we will be recommending the Carlton to our friends. ---
