good value

Cant comment on bar, did not use it. Had beautiful meal in restaurant, attending staff very friendly and helpful, big problem with manner and unfriendly attitude of manager on duty, who took our order, ... wondered if we were an inconvenience for him, he barely spoke and never inquired if our meal was ok, felt very uncomfortable. We were not late arriving and the restaurant was not busy on a Thur night June 3rd,. I was disappointed that facility of steam room was not working, but the staff on duty were more than apologetic and did endeavor to have it repaired, but as the problem had been in place for a few weeks, it was very unlikely. The young girl on duty was very nice and did her best. Enjoyed my over night and had lovely breakfast, pity about the dour mannered restaurant chief. have enjoyed other Carlton hotels in the past and hope to do so again. Thanks for the opportunity of giving my opinion. ---

Firstly may I thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay with us, and I must apologies that you encountered a couple of issues during this stay. Obviously, your experience is not in keeping with the standard that, both we set, and you the customer expects from us at the Carlton Hotel Tralee. With regards to the Steam Room, we are aware of this issue, and unfortunately it took us longer than we would have liked to source a replacement part for the this. On the other issue, I thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have sent an e-mail to our Food & Beverage Manager, asking him to speak constructively with the member of the team involved, to ensure that there is not a repeat of such an incident. As a gesture of goodwill and a means of apology, I would like to offer you a complimentary meal for two on your next stay with us, along with an upgrade to an Executive Room. I do hope that this matter does not deter you from visiting Tralee again, and enjoying the facilities of the Carlton Hotel Tralee. Assuring you of my personal attention at all times. Kind Regards, Thys Vogels General Manager
Gorgeous view, fabulous bed, friendly staff.

I recently visited Tralee for work purposes and needed to stay overnight. I contacted the manager at The Carlton Tralee and asked if he would consider sponsoring my accommodation as it would save a small ... local school some money. He very generously did so. When traveling on your own hotels can sometimes be cold, anonymous places, not here. From the moment I arrived staff were friendly, courteous and professional. My room at the back of the hotel had a view over the mountains that is quite stunning, and as for the room itself? Well I had the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel - and that is no exaggeration. Helped by the lack of irritating building noises you can often find in hotels but the bed was the clincher, if I could have taken it home I would. Unfortunately my baggage allowance wouldn't allow for it! I ate that evening in the bar and had a drink there later that night, once again staff were friendly and service was great. Oh, and the breakfast was fab! This gets a big thumbs up from me, I would definitely return. ---

Stay in Carlton Tralee
My partner and I stayed in the Carlton Tralee on Saturday night earlier in the year. We arrived earlier than check in time allows however we were welcomed at reception and checked in early without issue. ... This allowed for us to relax and take a stroll in tralee and sample a pint in the local pub. The room was gorgeous, good size and had a really comfortable bed. There was good ventilation and the bathroom had a bath tub which I relaxed in at the end of my day. We had some lunch in the hotel the next day before we left and the service was fast, friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. We will definitely stay in Carlton Tralee again as it crossed all the boxes for us. I didn't get to try the spa this time around but next time for sure! I cant remember the exact date of our stay I think it was Feb/March. ---

Carlton Hotel Tralee
I had the best holiday with my husband and three kids ever. Your service was excellent, the family room was perfect and large with everything at your service, tea coffee etc. The bathroom was nice and ... clean and the maids were so so kind always giving us what we wanted. Room service was spot on always on time when we ordered breakfast or dinner to the room. I have never experienced such excellent food and service in the restaurant the fish dishes especially the garlic scallops were delicious and the wine list was excellent also. The waiter was a lovely person and had a very professional manner and approach and also the girls on reception were so helpful. Location was brilliant and very central for shopping. I would definitely come back again if i had the money available. Well done to the Carlton hotel, I will recommend it to my friends and family 110%. ---

Best 4 Star in Ireland

I travel up and down the length and breath of Ireland with my job and in my opinion the Carlton Hotel in Tralee is superior to all other 4 star hotel. It's professionalism, friendliness, cleanness, decor ... is simply excellent. I have all stayed in the hotel when in Tralee on holiday and recommend it to all my friends and colleagues who may be stay in the vicinity. With my job I sometimes get tired staying in hotels yet I always look forward to stay in the Carlton Hotel in Tralee. ---

Lovely hotel and excellent value

Our stay was during the May bank holiday weekend. We stayed in a family room (double and two singles) which was quite spacious, a lovely bright room with an open-in full length 'door' which allowed ... plenty of fresh air into the room. Our son is in a wheel-chair and even though there are disabled access rooms in the hotel, on discussion with the hotel staff they figured that we would have more space in this room since our son does not require an adapted bathroom. Even though the bathroom in the family rooms are quite small, we managed fine. The empty mini-fridge (rather than being full with expensive drinks which we always have to take out!) was very convenient. The decor, furniture etc. was all very modern and fresh and there were nice fluffy towels in the bathroom. We found the breakfasts to be very good - both in the restaurant and via room service (@ only 4euro per order which is as good value as you'll get). The dinner on both nights in the restaurant was excellent - very good 5 course menu for the adults and some good options in the children's menu too - the children's desserts were particularly generous. All the staff at the hotel were very attentive and friendly. A real added bonus to our stay was the trip to the Aqua Dome which is free for all residents of the hotel. This was a great day out - much more than a normal swimming pool with water slide, moving rivers, geysers, waves. It would have cost our family (2 adults, 2 children) almost 50euro for entry and so it was great value to have this included in the hotel rate. Tralee also has a number of other attractions ... The Kerry Museum .. well worth a visit, a nice playground and some lovely town parks. The Manor West retail park/shopping centre has a great variety of shops for some retail therapy! Overall Tralee and the Carlton/Fel's Point hotel gave us a really enjoyable family weekend. ---

Great Experience / Great for Business Hotel

I stayed at the Carlton Hotel in Tralee with work last March and found the experience to be great. The accommodation was top class and the restaurant was fantastic. Also the location was very convenient to Tralee within walking distance.

Carlton Tralee
As always, I am impressed by the overall experience of the Carlton Hotel in Tralee. Room was excellent, and service was also excellent. The only downside is the lack of variety in the bar food menu.

Excellent

I had a really enjoyable stay in the Carlton Tralee. The hotel is lovely. It's spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious and have all the necessary amenities. It's in a great location too. Great breakfast in the morning. Overall, a great hotel and very good quality.
