Rose of Tralee
In its 51st year, The
Rose of Tralee International Festival, one of Ireland’s longest running festivals, takes place at the Carlton Hotel Tralee from Friday 20th August until Tuesday 24th August.
Every year more than 30 International Roses come from all over the world including Australia and Canada, New Zealand and the Middle East to Tralee to compete for the coveted title of Rose of Tralee. The Festival opens with the International Gala Rose Ball, accommodating over 900 guests who enjoy a five-course meal, entertainment, and dancing.
Anticipation reaches its highest point at the Rose of Tralee Selection, which is televised live on RTE and via the internet. Roses are then interviewed and it is up to the judges to chose the 2010 Rose of Tralee. Throughout this, supporters fill the 2,000-seater Dome to capacity, and maintain the electric atmosphere with their specially made banners and shouts of encouragement.
We are delighted to offer B&B rates from
€80 per person sharing per night during the week of this event.
